Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System (ICS) is pleased to announce that Nicola Kay has been appointed to the position of BLMK ICS Programme Director.
Nicola, who is currently Deputy Director of Personalised Care with the NHS England and NHS Improvement National team, will commence her role on 1 December 2020.
She will take over from Daphne Thomas, who has supported the ICS since the spring and has made a significant contribution to the work of the ICS.
Dr Rima Makarem, Independent Chair of BLMK ICS commented:
“Together with our ICS partners, I am looking forward to working with Nicola. She brings a wealth of experience, having worked in both central government and the private sector. Now more than ever, it is vital that we take a joined up approach to delivering health and social care across Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes to continually strive to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents.
“I would also like to extend my thanks to Daphne for her hard work and commitment to our system. She has played a crucial role in maintaining collaboration across the partnership during very challenging times”.
