Official publication of the full draft plan

Wednesday, 4th January, 2017

A public summary of the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) sustainability and transformation plan (STP) was published on Tuesday, 15 November, along with the official publication of the full draft plan for the local area.

Both versions of the plan were published on the new BLMK STP website, which you can find here.

Twelve local NHS organisations and four local authorities in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes are working together to develop the STP for the area, which aims to improve health services and better join up with social care so that everyone living in the region can have better services, live healthier lives and, if they should fall ill, have even better treatment than they currently receive.

Draft plans for the region were submitted to regulators in June and then October, and plans continue to be developed with involvement from all 16 partner organisations.

The STP, the easy-to-read summary document and detailed communication, engagement and involvement plans have been shared with the 16 partner organisations.

The STP will also formally launch its public and staff partnership groups this month, with the first meetings taking place the week beginning 21 November. These meetings will include key patient representative groups including all four Health Watch organisations in the STP area. The Trade Union Partnership will also meet for the second time in late November.

We’ve prepared a questionnaire to gather your feedback on the ideas presented in the October submission for the BLMK STP. To complete this online, please click here or for more information on the survey, see our publications page.
